The rebrand maintains the beachy yet edgy style that Ohanafest previously established while also keeping it simple but bold. This is done through the use of a bold typeface with a soft rounded touch in the A to create a style that is bright yet soft. The ligature that is created with the H and the A in the logo means “breath of life” in Hawaiian which contributes to the refreshing aura of music on the beach. The festival pushes community and story telling which is  tied back to the values of Hawaiian culture, and the use of the palm leaf throughout the brand assets is a call back to Hawaiian culture adding a level of softness to the brand as it blends into the background.
